Directions

From the Airport Shuttle Bus -
• Catch the "Airport Express Bus" Number 100, to Haymarket Station (ask the driver to tell you where to get off). Continue in the same direction as the bus was travelling and turn into the 2nd street on your left called Palmerston Place (at the corner of Starbucks). Pass St Mary's Cathedral on your right and continue to the end of the Street. Belford Backpackers Hostel is the Church located on the right hand corner at the bottom of the hill, before the bridge. (Look for the tall church steeple - you can't miss it!)

From Waverley Train Station -
• Exit on to Waverley Bridge and turn right. Walk to the top of the street, you will now be facing Princes Street. Cross over so that you are on the same side as the shops and turn left. Continue to walk in this direction along Princes Street until you reach a major intersection where Princes St continues and Lothian Road leads off to the left (House of Fraser is on the corner). Continue to walk in the same direction along Princes street (which will turn into Shandwick Place) until you reach an opening on your right called Palmerston Place (Starbucks is on the corner). Turn in to Palmerston Place and walk down the hill, you will pass St Mary's Cathedral on your right and continue to the end of the Street. Belford Backpackers Hostel is the Church located on the right hand corner at the bottom of the hill, before the bridge. Approximately 20-minute walk.
• Your other option is to catch a cab at a taxi stand just outside the station. A cab ride will cost you approximately £4.00.

From Haymarket Train Station -
• Exit the station via Haymarket Terrace (this is the main exit) Cross this road and turn right. Continue along the street and turn left down Palmerston Place (at the corner of Starbucks). Pass St Mary's Cathedral on your right and continue to the end of th Street. Belford Backpackers Hostel is the Church located on the right hand corner at the bottom of the hill, before the bridge. Approximately 6-10 minute walk.

From St. Andrews Square (Bus Drop off) –
• Upon exiting the station turn left and continue down to Princes Street. Turn right onto Princes St. and follow the same directions as for the train station. Approximately 25 minute walk.
